Jaguar F-Type SVR on Display at the Geneva Motor Show 2016
MANILA: The British multinational car producer, owned by Tata Motors recently showed off its new model Jaguar F-Type SVR. It’s indeed a matter of pride and glory for this brand, as it had taken very slow steps in introducing something new for this year. Earlier its fanatics were already taken aback by its production end of the Land Rover Defender. Though the end was a tough decision and was due to the stringent emission rules and lack of safety features in place. But anyhow, Jaguar has grown really good with the recent announcement of its entry in the all-electric Formula E-Racing for 2016-17 edition which is something everybody must be eyeing. Now, the new variant of Jaguar F-type is anticipated to catch much more attention than before, owing to its sturdy looks and enhanced features been incorporated.
Moving back to the new model in view, it is speculated to be one of the fastest F-Type made so far. The Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations has developed this stud. There had been rumors that mentioned that there had been some photographs leaked pertaining to this model under discussion. Unfortunately, the brochure revealed much more information than the current information floated from the launch event. In addition, this model is designed on an aerodynamic body structure that makes any automobile light in weight and highly responsive in the drive. Further, it is anticipated to be offered with the Coupe and Convertible option.
The technical specifications include supercharged 5.0L V8 engine that has the potential to deliver the power of 575 PS with a torque of 700 Nm. Also, it has a 8-speed quickshift automatic transmission gearbox. The fuel economy and emission levels count to be 25.0 mpg and 269g per kilometer respectively. It can attain the speed range of 0 to 97 kms per hour in barely 3.5 seconds. Its highest speed potential is measured as 322 kms per hour. The length of this stud measures to be 4475 mm in length, 2042 mm in width and stands 1311 mm tall (coupe), 1308 mm tall (convertible). Having a wheelbase of 2622 mm length.
The appearance of this model is truly jaw dropping, and it has the potential to zap its fanatics by standing out of the crowd with respect to its endearing features. The most worth noting attributes include the implementation of four wheel drive system, torque vectoring, adaptive dynamic, stability control systems and the power steering. Last but not the least, the titanium exhaust installed in the car enables it to become more powerful and hard edged sound.
Mr. John Edwards (Jaguar Land Rover's special Operations Managing Director) mentioned in one of his statements that: “The new F-Type SVR is the first series production Jaguar to be developed by Special Vehicle Operations and benefits from everything we know about precision engineering, performance and design."
We are quite hopeful that it will soon show its presence in the Philippines automotive world, to give this country a chance in flaunting its varied categories of model line ups. In general scenario, the Jaguar F-Type is anticipated to stand in competition with the rivals namely Porsche Cayman, Porsche 911, Audi R8, Porsche Boxster and Nissan GTR. The future of this brand and model both seem to be bright, owing to the long break it took and its come back with such stunning models. We wish that the endeavors of this generous company turns to be successful in terms of sales volume and consumer base.
