Joining the Turbo Club, Lexus RC

MANILA: A mix of solid engineering and sporty vibes is something prominent in Lexus models but now what is new is the turbo touch to its RC coupe. The RC 200t also goes turbo fours which initially started with NX 200t, ES 200t and IS 200t.

The RC 200t will be equipped with the same 2.0-litre turbo four cylinder engine which produces 245 PS at 5800 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 1650 -4400 rpm. When paired with eight speed automatic Sports Direct Shift, this lump allows the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds with soaring velocity of 230 kph. Along with this, the brand claims that the RC 200t is easy on environment as well with CO2 emissions of 162 grams per kilometer, and mix fuel economy of 13.3 km/l. Thus, this clearly justifies this shift from company's 2.5-litre V6 mill that chunks out 207 PS and 250 Nm.

Further, the car also comes with a F Sport package that gives this car a truly sporty character with 19-inch alloy wheels, sport seats, and F-Sport badging found inside and outside. This package also includes Torsean limited slip differential and Adaptive Variable Suspension which ensures smooth cornering and maximum road holding. The aluminum pedals, perforated leather surfaces, and the wedge metal ornament with a 3D surface treatment are some more attractions of this package.

By the end of this year, the new RC 200t will be available in Europe. So, at least somewhere in 2016, the Lexus Manila should also come up with the turbo experience of the Lexus RC for the Filipinos.
