Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5 jointly claim top spot in 'Best Cars of the Year 2021/2022'

MANILA: The Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 tied for the first place in the "Best Cars of the Year 2021/2022."

The judging panel, which is composed of renowned car designers, engineers, auto industry titans, motorsport legends, specialist journalists, broadcasters, and media professionals, stated that the EV6’s and Ioniq 5’s combined victory proves that Hyundai-Kia Organization Chairman Eui-Sun Chung is successfully upending the old world order.

The wholly independent Best Cars of the Year judging panel and a handful of carefully selected real-world car buyers also commended new cars from Audi, Toyota, Ford, Fiat, and Porsche.

Car manufacturers from South Korea, Germany, Japan, USA, Italy, and France impressed the highly experienced team of national and international judges, who worked under an unconstrained, completely democratic “one person, one vote” method.

Interestingly, the 10 models chosen by the judges for this year’s Best Cars of the Year are from 10 different brands based in six countries across the world’s top three car-producing continents: Asia, Europe, and North America.

The Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be two of the many main attractions on the Best Cars of the Year display at the British Motor Show this August, when the selection, evaluation, test driving, and voting process for the Best Cars of the Year 2022/2023 project will commence.
