Kia PH turns over 30 K2500 Karga units to telco infra solutions provider

MANILA: Kia Philippines recently turned over 30 Kia K2500 Karga units to Fiber Infrastructure and Network Services Inc. (FINSI), a provider of towers, infrastructure, and other services for telecommunications and technology industries. Among the firms that FINSI serves is Globe Telecom.

In a release, Kia Philippines explained why the K2500 Karga is an ideal commercial vehicle for the company.

"It’s a light truck that can haul both people and objects. That makes it ideal for FINSI's line of business whose operations usually involves the transportation of both heavy tools and manpower," the company said.  

The K2500 Karga is available in both 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrains. That means "field teams can confidently go and accomplish tasks wherever it may be, whether it’s inside the city or on rough roads outdoors," Kia added. 

Meanwhile, the K2500 Karga's rear aircon vents will provide comfort to the workers seated in the cabin. The K2500 Karga can accommodate a total of 19 passengers, with three up front and 16 in the cabin. 

The commercial vehicle's fuel-efficient 2.5-liter turbodiesel engine aims to save costs for the company it is serving. The engine ouputs 130ps and 255Nm, and teamed up with a six-speed manual transmission. 

FINSI is also reassured with Kia's three-year/110,000-kilometer warranty, three-year free 24/7 roadside assistance, as well as a nationwide network of service centers.

“Our partnership with Kia will help our field teams with providing installation and maintenance services on the fiber network around the country," she added. 

Aside from the Karga passenger van variant, the K2500 is also available in Double Cab Dropside, Single Cab Dropside, Kargo, Closed Van, and Cab & Chassis configurations.
