Lamborghini Squadra Corse staff to wear Macron apparel

MANILA: Under a newly signed partnership between Automobili Lamborghini and sportswear company Macron, the Squadra Corse staff supporting the Lamborghini Super Trofeo championships and the Iron Lyx Team will wear Macron-supplied apparel for three race seasons. 

To note, the Iron Lynx Team is the Italian car manufacturer’s officially backed competitor currently engaged in the FIA World Endurance Championships using the SC63 hypercar. The team also competes in the International Motor Sports Association Sportscar Championship with the Huracan GT3 Evo 2. 

The Lamborghini Super Trofeo championships, meanwhile, is an international one-make racing series organized by Squadra Corse. It primarily uses the Super Trofeo versions of the Huracan. 

The car company touts Macron's sportswear as “high-tech and comfortable,” displaying the right quality to represent a brand as iconic as Lamborghini. It will also utilize high-tech fabrics to ensure the team's top-caliber performance.  

Apart from supplying the staff of the marque’s race team, the clothing company has also become the licensed maker of the publicly available replicas of the Squarda Corse collection. 

As per the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of Automobili Lamborghini Stephan Winkelman, the partnership sets out to establish a close-knit collaboration between the two companies, which will eventually lead to a shared success. 

“For us, this partnership is a natural salute to the world of sport, which in Lamborghini is represented by the motorsport sector. The goal is to create excellent teamwork between our two organizations and to share the future success that we are confident will ensue from this collaboration,” said Winkelman. 

Macron CEO Gianluca Pavanello also praised the partnership as a symbol of Italian quality and the two companies' shared vision.

“We are happy to announce this partnership with a brand that represents Italian excellence in the world. Both of our companies have their roots firmly in the same territory, Emilia Romagna. We share the same values of performance and a design-led culture that, along with passion and a culture of hard work, guides us in everything we do,” Pavanello said.
