Mercedes Benz Pickup Concept will be Launched In Paris

MANILA: The brand Mercedes had recently left its fanatics surprised with its news of introducing a pickup truck, which is set to stand in competition with Nissan NP300 Navara. Talking in the recent context, Mercedes Benz Pickup concept is declared to be launched in Paris in 1 ton weighing truck category. From the previously dropped hints, we could gather the information pertaining to its appearance, which indicates its high resemblance with the Nissan Navara. The Nissan Navara as we all know has made a strong mark for itself, and is more popular by now owing to its achievement of being the Best International Pickup Truck 2016. Coming back to the Benz Truck, it is believed to have existed by the backing of Renault Nissan Alliance and Daimler AG, having its traits and characteristics inspired from Navara.

It’s doubtless to state that Benz will have a neck to neck competition with its much competent rival Navara, as it is bestowed with beauty as well as extra-ordinary attributes. The former pick up truck (Navara) had excelled in proving itself on the varied number of tests that were related to environment, safety, head turning persona and commercial feasibility. It had been mated with a 2.3L dCi engine that was founded on a robust chassis and a 5 link rear suspension. It had to face competition with Ford Ranger and Mitsubishi L200 during the selection process.

From the early rumor of this truck getting the name of X-Class or Z-Class model has still not been confirmed, yet we are sure that the architecture is like what the Navara already possesses. It was mentioned in one of the official statements by Mercedes that: "It aims to be the first premium manufacturer to respond to this market shift. Further will be built in Renault's plant Cordoba, Argentina for the Latin American market and the trucks for the other markets will be built in Nissan's plant in Barcelona, Spain.”

The actual production is expected to roll from next year, however the concept is all set to be showcased at the Paris Motor Show.
