Powertrain, chassis
Under the bonnet of the company’s first-ever pickup truck in the country is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces some 158 horses and 400 Newton-meters of pulling power.
The said diesel mill can be mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Exterior
Outside, the MG TRQ-L dons a relatively aggressive exterior with its fore sporting leaning heavily on sharp angles.
The rectangular grille is bordered by angular headlamps with some more snappy accents on the vehicle’s cheeks.

It rides on a set of 16-inch wheels shod in 245/70 series all-terrain tires.

Inside, the latest addition to MG Philippines’ stable comes with decent tech.
These include an instrument cluster that combines analog gauges and a digital meter and a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

To help promote the pickup truck, MG Philippines has announced a special introductory price for the two variants:

In addition, the first 200 buyers of the MG TRQ-L will receive free upgrades in the form of corner steps (estimated worth, P12,500) and tailgate assist (worth P8,500).
