‘Mini Takes the States’ explores 9 US states to raise funds for animal welfare

MANILA: Mini USA kicked off the Mini Takes the States (MTTS) 2022 last weekend at Farr’s Field, Waterbury, Vermont. Over 2,000 Mini vehicle owners will travel across nine states and eight cities, raising funds for Best Friends Animal Society, an animal welfare organization that urges to end euthanasia of dogs and cats in American animal shelters by 2025. During the event, the Mini Motoring Club of America (MMCA) was introduced, establishing a new national Mini car owners and enthusiasts club.

The week-long road trip will cover more than 1,700 miles. Participants will travel from Vermont to South Carolina, joined by more than 80 pets and their owners.

Mini USA Experiential Marketing Head Caryn Grun said, “We’re so excited to be back for another unforgettable Mini Takes the States experience. After four long years, we have provided the Mini Community an epic road trip to Reunite and Rally together.”

A portion of the participants’ registration fee will be donated to Best Friends Animal Society. Mini USA will also be conducting an adoption event in South Carolina in collaboration with Century Mini, Greenville County Animal Care, and Greenville Humane Society.

With the newly formed MMCA, Mini fans will be able to connect and interact more closely with the brand, with a host of member-exclusive benefits and programs. MMCA will be present at the Rise & Rally events in all eight cities where MTTS will be stopping.

In 2018, 3,600 Mini vehicle owners participated in Rally to the Rockies, traveling over 5,000 miles across 14 states and 15 cities.
