Mugen gets new sales partner for PH

MANILA: Mugen Motorsports, a Japanese based tuning company closely associated with Honda, has begun working with Riken Motorsports Philippines as its new official sales partner for the local market. 

The aforementioned appointment was made effective as of February 2025; as such, local Honda fans wanting to spruce up their rides now have better access to numerous genuine Mugen parts ranging from exhaust manifolds, high-performance intake systems, high-performance lubricants, and suspension systems. 

Additionally, the Saitama-headquartered company also produces body kits for a variety of iconic Honda vehicles, such as the Civic, CR-V, and Civic Type R - among others. 

For those interested, Riken Motorsports Philippines can be contacted via its social media channels, specifically on Instagram and Facebook. It also has an office located at 1022 G. Masangkay Street, Manila. 

Other brands distributed by Riken Motorsports Philippines include Denso, Bosch, Aisin, Greddy, HKS, Tomei, Work Wheels, Tein, Air Spencer, and many others.

Previously, Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated and Mugen Motorsports collaborated by rolling out the Mugen Civic Type R Group A at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show. 

Per its name, it is a variant of the Honda Civic Type R, which was dressed up with a multitude of Mugen parts, such as a body kit, high-performance dampers, a rear wing, a sports-tuned exhaust system, and a set of 19-inch aluminum wheels. 

The said model, however, was sold locally in a very limited capacity - with only five models made available.
