PH drivers to compete at Asia Pacific Motorsports Championship 2025

MANILA: A total of 12 individuals are donning the country’s colors at the Asia Pacific Motorsports Championship (APMC) 2025.

The 11-individual strong that will represent Team Philippines are:

• Olson Louie Camacho (Autocross)
• Ricardo Montelibano (Autocross)
• Ricardo Dy-Liacco (Autocross)
• Carlos Iñigo Anton (Auto Gymkhana and Karting Slalom)
• Richard Gallardo (Auto Gymkhana)
• Dorathea Legaspi (Auto Gymkhana)
• Russel Reyes (e-sports)
• Luis Moreno (e-sports)
• Ryan Sy (Karting)
• Mariano Axel Nocom (Karting)
• Martin Zaragoza (Karting)

Leading Team Philippines is AAP Motor Sport Head Rikki Dy-Liacco.

"We’re proud to stand behind them. We are confident that Team Philippines will rise to the challenge and make the country proud,” the AAP Motorsport head said.

For his part, AAP Trustee and Motor Sport Committee Chair Armando Eduque expressed confidence in the participants' capabilities. “Our drivers carry not just their racing suits and helmets, but the hopes of Philippine motorsports.”

Sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), this year’s international motorsport event — set to be held for the first time in Sri Lanka on September 26-28  — will be hosted by the Ceylon Motor Sports Club (CMSC) in collaboration with the national sporting authorities in the Asia Pacific region.

 

All competitions in the said event will take place at the Speedbay Karting Circuit in Bandaragama — the only track in the country built to FIA-CIK standards.

“The APMC 2025 will celebrate the unity of the region and the passion of motorsport. Featuring six disciplines, this event will showcase the depth and the skills of an entire region. This year is special because the FIA Affordable Cross Car will make its debut, and we will see the talent and the skills of the new drivers,” FIA Secretary General for Sport Valerio Iachizzi was quoted as saying.
