PH Follows the Trend of Cab Commutation
MANILA: Commuting in your own vehicles, stopping at traffic lights and then spending time in finding a proper parking space for your pricey, beloved car. This entire process is tiresome in the present scenario of cities where roads are narrowing down to accommodate the number of increasing vehicles. This definitely demands fresh innovations and solutions which would improve the efficiency of daily transport and here comes the UBER!
Taxi Trend V/S Uber Culture
The trend of taxis is fading away in Philippines, and the reasons for the same are simple-
- Not available on the tap of your touch screen
- The fares are not fair
- Lack of flexibility, convenience and comfort
- Old and inefficient taxi models
- Refusal to carry passengers to their destination
Solution from San Francisco in form of Uber
Overcoming all these above faults comes Uber services from San Francisco which has become synonymous to canny and comfort rides. With them, every distance has a predefined fare attached to it and every corner of the city has turned into virtual cab stand. Uber sees a lucrative market in the Philippines, given Manila’s population of as many as 15 million people, Laurence Cua, Uber’s Philippine general manager, told Reuters.
From price to quality, convenience to safety, Uber has proved itself to be a global trend with a very simple idea, where you just need to tap on your smartphones and the sexy black Uber will roll up to your door steps on time, giving you a short, simple, and safe drive to your destination. On arriving here you just have to step down with style and class, without fumbling for change as the mobile app automatically deducts the fare from your credit card and emails you the receipt.
Philippine Government move on its popularity
To legalize this modern commuting affair, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has marked AUGUST 20,2015 AS THE LAST DATE for all these online operators to be accredited as transport network companies (TNC) and each vehicle under the company must be registered as transportation network vehicle (TNV). They should posses a 1-year certificate of Public Convenience issued by TNC and will be considered illegal if found not following the same before the specified date.
Conclusion
Thus, with the presence in almost 70 cities and 27 countries, Uber is all about promptness and luxury and " Luxury is all about not worrying and focusing on your job."
