Spied Interior Images of Production-Spec Lada Vesta

MANILA: Lada Vesta! Quite different to hear but let’s try and understand it. It is basically a concept car produced by a Russian car company AvtoVAZ and was presented in August 2014 during Moscow International Automobile Salon. Talking about the brand AvtoVAZ, it is the company established in late 1960s in collaboration with Fiat and is famous to the world by name of Lada. So, it is Lada's Vesta which is snapped at its production facility in Izhevsk, Eastern Russia.

The images reveal that the interiors are similar to the Lada Vesta Concept which features a 3-spoke steering wheel, a manual transmission, a regular mechanical hand brake, and a music player with Bluetooth connectivity which is housed perfectly in the center console. Talking about the higher variants, they will also get heated front seats, dual front airbags, automatic headlights, automatic wipers, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, and an ABS as an optional equipment.

The Vesta measures 4,410 mm long, 1,764 mm wide and 1,497 mm tall. The wheelbase of the same is of 2,635 mm and is underpinned on Lada-B platform which is jointly developed by AutoVAZ and Renault-Nissan. So, with signature 'X' motif on the front bumper and on side body panels, the Vesta will surely debut with a new design language.

Coming to the power of this Lada, it is likely to be armed with a 1.6-litre naturally aspirated petrol 8-valve engine which would produce 87 HP. Another option is of the same unit with 16-valve that can produce 106 HP of power. 5-speed manual gearbox would be a standard while an AMT option is offered for the 16-valve variant. It is also heard that a more powerful 1.6-litre 16-valve unit delivering 114 HP through a 5-speed manual transmission is also reserved for AutoVAZ's next launch.

Expected to be in showrooms by this November, the Vesta would carry a price tag of PhP 3,40,905 which is a peanut for a sedan.
