Subaru hails 'Asian Dream' winner and new brand ambassador

MANILA: Subaru Asia has announced the "Asian Dream" grand winner, Singaporean contender Tyen Rasif.  She was able to beat five other candidates from the continent to rule the singing competition, 

From the beginning of "Asian Dream," Tyen’s distinct voice captivated the attention of the judges. Her drive, consistency, and positivity — after almost being eliminated — served her in good stead.

The seven-episode reality singing competition, which was exclusively aired on AXN, was done in collaboration with music icon and multi-Grammy award winner Michael Bolton (who is also the creator, host, and executive producer of the show) and Subaru Asia.

The final competition featured Tyen and Vietnam’s Linh Tran, in both solo and duet performances. Linh was admired for her voice and star quality but Tyen’s stage presence and powerful vocals eventually captivated the judges.

The panel of judges for the finale consists of Tan Chong International Limited Deputy Chairman and Managing Director Glenn Tan, Filipina singer and Bolton's co-host Morissette Amon, Michael Bolton, and Vietnamese singer Thanh Bùi.

Tyen shared, “It feels surreal to me. I never thought I’d actually make it this far and actually win the competition. I think throughout this competition, there have been many moments where I felt immense pressure because I thought that I might not be good enough. I want to tell anybody out there that if you have a dream, just go for it because passion is going to bring you amazing things.”

Tyen has earned the honor of being the newest ambassador of Subaru Asia as well as the opportunity of performing with Michael Bolton on his upcoming Asian Dream tour.

Since she has just acquired her driving license, Tyen is also to be given a Subaru XV as her personal vehicle.
