The sea turtle releasing was done in Morong.Per the local wing of the Japanese automobile and motorcycle manufacturer, the said sea turtle releasing activity — held at the Pawikan Conservation Center in Morong — reaffirms the company’s commitment to environmental conservation and support of marine wildlife protection and sustainability.
Executives from Suzuki Philippines Incorporated participated in releasing rescued pawikan hatchlings into the sea, which the company noted was a symbolic and heartfelt moment highlighting the importance of collective action in protecting the environment.
“The activity reflects Suzuki Philippines’ brand philosophy, ‘By Your Side,’ which extends beyond mobility solutions to supporting communities, protecting the environment, and contributing to meaningful causes. Adopted sea turtles
The pawikans released during the said activity were hatchlings adopted by Suzuki Philippines Incorporated during its first visit to the conservation center as part of its Fronx media drive.
In that same visit, the carmaker donated a Suzuki Jimny to the marine life conservation organization to support its efforts. The vehicle was then formally turned over to the president and manager of the institution.
According to the Pawikan Conservation Center, their conservation efforts have yielded encouraging results with a total of 9,468 pawikan eggs — out of 100 nests — safely secured.
From the abovementioned, 8,713 baby turtles successfully hatched, demonstrating the impact of sustained conservation work and community partnerships.
“By working together with organizations like the Pawikan Conservation Center, Suzuki Philippines remains committed to being by the side of communities, nature, and future generations,” the brand wrote.
