Tesla Model Y L now available in PH

MANILA: Following its recent private preview, Tesla formally made available the Model Y L in the Philippines.

Customers may already check the brand’s six-seater offering, which is already displayed at the brand’s showroom in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The Philippines is the third market outside China that offers this product (the first two being Australia and Thailand).

Here’s what you need to know about the newly-revealed offering.

Vehicle specifications

While it sports the same look as the standard Model Y, the Tesla Model Y L is slightly longer than the former. On paper, the latter measures:

Inside, the Tesla Model Y L features second-row captain seats that have power armrests, one-touch folding, ventilation and heating functionalities while the third row comes with electronically adjusted chairs with one-touch folding and climate control.

Other amenities that the Tesla Model Y L offers include:

• Acoustic glass
• Updated suspension system
• 19-inch Machina Wheels
• Dual touchscreen display system (16 inches for the front center, and eight inches for the second row)
• 18-speaker + 1-subwoofer

Powered by a dual motor setup in all-wheel-drive configuration, the vehicle can accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour from rest in five seconds.

Meanwhile, its floor-mounted battery gives the model an all-electric range of 681 kilometers. It also boasts adaptive suspensions and electronic damping shocks to ensure better handling.

The Tesla Model Y L’s indicative vehicle price starts at P2.849 million. This comes with a basic vehicle warranty of four years or 80,000 km (whichever comes first) and battery and drive unit of eight years or 192,000 km.
