In the Philippines, the Toyota GR Supra is priced at P5.396 million.To note, the said version of the GR Supra is a race-spec model catered to teams competing in the GT4 class. As such, the vehicle received a ton of motorsport-related additions, including a safety fuel cell with a fast refueling system, OMP race seats with six-point harnesses, a fire extinguishing system, and a high-strength roll cage, among others.
Specific to the all-new 2025 model is a re-tuned anti-lock braking system (ABS) to enable optimal braking and cornering. It also received reduced downshifting time through a software update and improved overall cooling performance for various mechanical systems as well as the car’s cockpit.
Photo from ToyotaThe new ABS maps, in particular, were taken from driving data derived from Japanese and European race tracks. Also, the reduced downshifting time, Toyota says, can lead to better control during decelerating and, thus, more agility through corners.
All the said improvements, per Toyota, were decided upon thanks to customer feedback. It is also the result of a concerted effort to make the vehicle more accessible not just for professional drivers but also for amateurs as well.
For its engine, the GR Supra GT4 Evo was fitted out with a tuned version of the standard model’s 3.0-liter inline-6 engine. It was also paired with other upgrades, such as an Akrapovic exhaust system, a Drexler limited-slip differential, a GKN drive shaft, and a modified ZF automatic gearbox.
Photo from ToyotaThe Japanese carmaker said its maximum output is dependent on provided “power sticks,” but it has a peak torque of 660 Newton-meters (Nm). For those unaware, power sticks are USB drives containing a specific engine tune.
In Europe, the Toyota GR Supra GT4 Evo is priced at €202,000, or P12.659 million at current exchange rates.
For reference, the Philippines-spec version of the Toyota GR Supra can churn out 335 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The locally available standard version of the Toyota-made sports car is priced at P5.396 million,
