Here are the Top 40 sim racers for the Toyota GR eSports GT Championship 2025

MANILA: A total of 40 e-racers will advance to the quarterfinals of the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) eSports GT Championship 2025 set this weekend.

The aforementioned part of the competition, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) shared, will be on October 11 at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

According to the leading automotive firm in the country, the aforementioned number of competitors bested at least 200 participants who took part in the qualifying round by putting their fastest time around the Suzuka East Short Course on Gran Turismo 7 using the Toyota Supra RZ 2020.

Out of the said number of qualified contenders, only 20 will move to the semifinals on October 12.

From the said pool, only the Top 10 will go head-to-head in the national finals later in the day — wherein the three best contenders will be picked to represent the Philippines in the upcoming TGR Asia eSports GT Championship (then known as the Toyota GR GT Cup-Asia Championships).

“We congratulate the sim racers who made it to the quarterfinals and look forward to seeing them push their limits for better at the live event at Ayala Malls Manila Bay. We invite everyone to come experience the thrilling world of eSports with us this October,” TMP Vice President for Marketing Services Elvin Luciano said.

Last year, Russel Reyes, Luis Moreno, and Enzo Ison finished the competition in seventh, 10th, and, 13th places, respectively — allowing the Philippine team to conclude the competition at fourth spot overall.

Meanwhile, e-sports fans can look forward to other activities such as the sim racing rigs, game booths, and original GR merchandise for sale. They can also see the following vehicles at the event venue:

• Toyota GR Yaris
• Toyota GR Supra
• Toyota GR 86
• Toyota Vios one-make-race car (OMR)
• Tamaraw OMR driven during the 2025 Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup

Sanctioned by the Association Philippines, the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines eSports GT Championship 2025 was mounted with Petron and GT Radial as its major sponsors.

Aside from the two, the event is also supported by Official Timekeeper Seiko, Toyota Financial Services Philippines, Tuason Racing, AVT, 3M, Denso, OMP, ROTA, Autoplus, PIAA, Vinyl Frog Premier Vehicle Wraps, AutoQuix, Sparco, myTOYOTA Wallet, and Kinto One.
