VinFast expands roster with VF 2 launch

MANILA: VinFast has officially launched the VF 2, the brand's smallest four-wheeled offering to date.

Smaller than the VF 3, the four-seater battery-electric vehicle is a more refined and optimized version of the Minio Green. 

In a statement, the company said the newest addition to the VF lineup "offers a safe and comfortable alternative to motorcycles, helping improve the quality of urban life."

Here are some notable details about the newly unveiled VinFast VF 2.

The vehicle features a distinctive design highlighted by LED headlights and 13-inch alloy wheels.

• Four-way manually adjustable driver's seat

Powering the rear-wheel-drive VinFast VF 2 is a single electric motor that produces:

The motor, which offers Eco and Normal drive modes, enables the vehicle to reach a top speed of 80 kilometers per hour.

The VinFast VF 2 is equipped with an 18.3-kilowatt-hour battery that provides a driving range of up to 210 kilometers based on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). Using a direct current (DC) charger, the battery can be charged from 10 percent to 70 percent in approximately 34 minutes.

A MacPherson suspension system at both the front and rear helps provide a smooth and stable driving experience.

The model also comes with several safety and driver-assistance features, including:

• Driver-side airbag
• Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
• Traction Control System (TCS)
• Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)

Priced at VND 188 million (around P438,000), the VinFast VF 2 comes with 10 free charging sessions per month at V-Green public charging stations nationwide through February 10, 2029.

Pre-orders for the VinFast VF 2 in its home market will begin on July 15. Customers who place a deposit of VND 10 million (approximately P23,300) from July 15 to 17 will receive a discount of VND 8 million (around P18,600) per vehicle. The deposit is non-refundable and may only be transferred to immediate family members—including parents, spouses, children, and siblings—or to companies owned by these individuals.

Deliveries are expected to begin in September 2026.
