Vinfast sells 36k units worldwide in Q1 2025

MANILA: VinFast has sold 36,330 electric vehicles (EV) around the world during the initial quarter of 2025.

The aforementioned volume that the Vietnamese EV manufacturer enjoyed reflected a 296-percent growth year-over-year.

In a statement, the company said that the VF 3 and VF 5 accounted for 67 percent of total deliveries in the first quarter of the year.

Meanwhile, the deliveries for VinFast VF 5 and VF 6 showed the following sales increase:

Aside from that, VinFast also delivered 44,904 electric scooters and e-bicycles during the same period — growing by 473 percent year-on-year.

 “Having established a resilient foundation for expansion in 2024, VinFast is poised for significant momentum moving into 2025. Our diverse range of electric vehicles provides us with the confidence to maintain steady growth, adapt effectively to evolving market demands and navigate macroeconomic fluctuations. The VF 3 and VF 5 continued their strong performance as key growth drivers in 1Q25, alongside the promising emergence of models like the VF 6,” VinFast Chair Thuy Le shared.

“For 2025, VinFast is steadfast in our mission to spearhead the global adoption of green transportation through innovative, smart vehicles; alongside our efforts to maintain a leading market share in Vietnam and gradually achieve substantial international growth,” she added.

Per VinFast, its home country remains a crucial driver for its delivery growth.

Globally, VinFast is expanding its presence in high-potential Asian markets by being present in India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Simultaneously, VinFast is actively boosting its network of dealers and service centers across the said markets.

Further, Vinfast noted that it will open new production facilities in Indonesia, India, and Ha Tinh (Vietnam) soon.
