But what are the Kawasaki Z1100 SE’s similarly-priced rivals in the Philippine market? We’ll list them all, but first, let’s have a quick look at the said model’s specs and features.

    Kawasaki Z1100 SE

In the Philippine market, the Kawasaki Z1100 SE uses a 1,099-cubic-centimeter (CC), inline-four, liquid-cooled, double-overhead-cam (DOHC) engine capable of producing up to 134 horsepower (hp) and 113 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque

The said engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox equipped with a wet, multi-disc slipper clutch with a quickshifter. Its front suspension consists of a 41-millimeter inverted front fork and a horizontal back link Öhlins shock with spring preload adjustability.

Stopping power, on the other hand, is handled by a duo of 310 mm Brembo brake discs and calipers for the front and a single/piston setup for the rear.

Supporting the aforementioned is a twin-tube aluminum frame. For reference, here are the dimensions of the Kawasaki Z1100 SE for the model year 2026:

    Honda CB1000 Hornet

One notable similarly-priced competitor of the Kawasaki Z1100 is the Philippine market is the Honda CB1000 Hornet. Currently, the model retails at P750,000

The engine of the Honda CB1000 Hornet is a 1,000-cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-cylinder motor that can produce up to 151 hp and 105 Nm of torque. Paired with the said powertrain is a six-speed gearbox and a wet-type multiplate clutch.

    Final thoughts

On paper, the Kawasaki Z1100 SE clearly has a power deficit against the Honda CB1000 Hornet and the Suzuki GSX-S1000. Nevertheless, the model more than makes up for it with its sheer number of features. Also, it actually makes more torque than either of the Honda and Suzuki models mentioned above, giving it an edge in certain riding circumstances.

The model’s strong point, however, is its price. It is one of the more affordable hypernaked liter bikes in the market right now, and that’s always a plus for would-be adopters.

Additionally, the visual identity of the Sugomi hypernaked design language is quite strong and is a definitive head-turner. Sure, the other bikes look great too, but the sheer aggression the Kawasaki nameplate showcases is downright menacing.
