MDPPA inducts new officials

MANILA: The Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association Incorporated (MDPPA) has inducted its new officials for 2026. 

The event was held in Pasay City and marked the theme “Moving Forward Beyond the Current Challenges, Sustaining Industry Leadership,” which rallies its members to focus on resilience and innovation within the Philippine motorcycle sector.

Presiding the induction ceremony was Department of Transportation Undersecretary Ramon Reyes, who also served as a keynote speaker for the important affair.

Here are the new leaders:

MDPPA President	Erwin Estrada (Honda Philippines Incorporated)
MDPPA Vice President	Romeo Tan (Yamaha Motor Philippines Incorporated)
MDPPA Treasurer	Norminio Mojica (Suzuki Philippines Incorporated)
MDPPA Auditor	Alexander Cumpas (Kawasaki Motor Philippines Corporation)

The incoming MDPPA President outlined the association’s 2026 strategic roadmap, prioritizing proactive engagement in international policy-making and rule-setting to bring the joy of mobility and comfort to the Filipino riders. 

Per the organization, Estrada’s tenure will focus on intensifying road safety initiatives, expanding membership and boosting the MDPPA’s public profile.

“With the continued support of our members, the partnership and collaboration with government agencies and the trust of the public, I am confident that we can elevate our industry and contribute meaningfully to national progress, bringing the joy of mobility and comfort to every Filipino Family,” Estrada was quoted as saying. 

The association’s new head honcho also expanded the MDPPA’s mandate by introducing a focus on active collaboration with both local and international automotive associations. 

A highlight of this global outreach includes the MDPPA hosting the prestigious Federation of Asian Motorcycle Industries Conference in the first quarter of this year.

Other instated officials include Toni Boi Acuesta for Marketing (Yamaha Motor Philippines Incorporated), Raymund Cristobal for Road Safety (Honda Philippines Incorporated), Richard Paul Natividad for Technical (Kawasaki Motor Philippines Corporation), as well as Attorney Ricardo Brazal for Government (Suzuki Philippines Incorporated) and Gilmar de Castro for Research and Planning (MDPPA).
