Petron launches new Sprint Scooter oils

MANILA: Petron has introduced the new Sprint Scooter Oil line in the Philippines, which is expected to deliver “reliable performance and protection that Filipino riders can count on every day.”

The homegrown oil giant’s latest lubricants — available in three grades namely premium multi-grade, synthetic, and fully synthetic — are designed specifically for automatic transmission motorcycles, which are highly utilized in the country.

“Across the Philippines, more and more riders are taking to the road on scooters. They are easier to maneuver, making them ideal and practical for navigating traffic or traveling long distances. For millions of Filipinos, owning a scooter is not just about convenience — it represents freedom, independence, and control over their time,” the company explained.

Per Petron, the recently-launched product has the right viscosity and carries one of the highest API ratings in the country — even exceeding what scooter engines currently require.

The firm also expressed firm belief that the aforementioned products are suitable for local road conditions — be it in heavy traffic conditions, long journeys, uphill, and continuous operation under heat or rain.

Further, the new Petron Sprint Scooter oils are blended in the company’s modern facility — considered one of the top oil blending plants in Southeast Asia — that ensures consistency and reliability in terms of formulation.

Aside from high quality,  Petron claimed that the said lubricants are priced affordably to keep scooters performing at their best everyday.

“We understand the daily challenges of scooter riders—that’s why we developed Petron Sprint Scooter Oil,” Petron Vice President for Industrial Sales Virgilio Centeno said.

“It was designed to make everyday rides smoother and worry-free, offering high-quality and value-for-money that riders can truly count on,” the official added.

Moreover, the firm mentioned that the launch of Petron Sprint Scooter Oil “celebrates the everyday Filipino rider who faces the road with confidence and determination.”
