MANILA: TVS, the Indian motorcycle maker known for offering affordable, yet dependable bikes just unveiled two new bikes—the XL100 Premium moped and Dazz Prime scooter.

Last December 7, the company hosted the “Street Stunners” at the Batangas Racing Circuit where TVS debuted the two bikes. Though TVS did not explain the choice of venue—which is out of character from their previous unveiling,

we could only guess that they did so for biking enthusiasts to get a feel of the bikes by driving it around the course. A more interactive and hands-on experience is never a bad thing when launching a product.

The XL100 is an updated version of the standard XL100 but still shares the same 99.7cc single-cylinder engine capable of 4.14 hp of power and 6.3 Nm of torque. The difference comes mainly from added features. Since the XL100 is marketed as a commercial motorcycle, one great feature that TVS added is the mobile charging USB port which makes it perfect if you’re into passenger and or delivery service.

Other neat features include an ES with i-Touch technology for noiseless starting, sync brake for better stopping power even when carrying heavy loads, LED daytime running light for safety and better visibility, and premium styling and decals. The TVS is also built for hauling cargo. Besides converting it to an Angkas ride, you can also fit it with container apparatus for LPG and water bottles, an insulated box for food delivery, or a general cargo box.
