I've owned my 2023 King for a year and a little over 5,000 km. The biggest challenge I've had with it is that I spent half a century riding machines with a US standard shift pattern and re-educating my foot has been much more difficult than expected. That isn't a fault in the machine. I also added a top box to make it more useful for running errands. While I find it essential it isn't what I would call a standard item that should be included as part of the cycle. If I really had to dig for something to fault, the build quality isn't everything it could be. Even there, I've owned machines that cost ten times as much and weren't any better. The most important thing I would say to a potential buyer is that this is a "basic" motorcycle. It lacks many of the things older riders consider feature creep and new riders think of as standard. There is no gas gauge or fuel injection. There is no ABS and while the drum brakes are perfectly adequate they will have to be adjusted several times during break in and will never feel as crisp as disks. As a compensation for it's basic, almost primitive nature it's very inexpensive to own and maintain.

Design

Retro styling and minimal features, if it isn't there it can't break.

Comfort

Good compromise in comfort between short and long trip riding.

Performance

It was never intended to be a racer. It does well for it's size and price range.

Safety

Safety is more of a driver than a mechanical issue.

Road Trip Experience

One longish trip so far (800 km). It ran better when I returned than when I started.
