2017 Mazda CX-5: What to Expect?

Mazda has been doing quite well around the world, and its roots are getting stronger with every passing day. Even the Philippines market has shown its share of liking towards the brand, and the complete credit goes to company’s sheer dedication towards manufacturing great auto products. From KODO design language to driver-centric cabin configuration, Mazda cars score high on the customer satisfaction index. To further exemplify owners’ experience a new CX-5 is soon to arrive in the auto market.

The all-new Mazda CX-5 has already made its global debut and now with Manila International Auto Show just around the corner the car is expected to step its foot on the Philippines ground. As for good news, the 2017 CX-5 has grabbed some great reviews from auto critics and is said to be Mazda’s move to compete in the premium car segment.

Here are some attributes that the Philippines can expect from the all-new CX-5. Please note, some minor tweaks can be seen in the locally launched model.

According to Mazda, the all-new CX-5 is the true and until now the best expression of KODO ‘Soul of Motion’ design. Build with through precision by fine Japanese artisans; the CX-5 embodies excitement and commitment to deliver the best. Each detail whether on the inside or outside is measured and calculated. Nothing here happens by chance. In comparison to the on-going model, the new one is expected to be more sophisticated, bolder and athletic.

2.       Cabin Redefined

The magic of KODO ‘Soul of Motion’ design is not restricted to all-new Mazda CX-5 exterior and flows in the cabin too. Mazda is known for its wisely and thoughtfully designed cabin to provide the maximum joy of driving. Taking this feeling a step further, the 2017 CX-5 offers thoughtfully designed soft touches, perfectly positioned instrumental binnacle and rear seat with reclining feature.  Further, increasing the driver’s and occupants comfort level the car is expected to come loaded with an abundance of high-end standard features like HMI Commander.  

3.       SKYACTIV-VEHICLE DYNAMICS

The new CX-5 is designed to give maximum ride comfort.  It is infused with SKYACTIV-VEHICLE DYNAMICS with G-Vectoring Control that is responsible for a fatigue-free, smooth ride to the occupants and driver. All this is done by optimizing vehicles weight and subtly adjusting the torque. As an added benefit, it gets reduced NVH levels (noise, vibration, and harshness) and more steering precision (with GVC in place, CX-5 claims to be more responsive to diver's steering movements).

4.       Stay Informed, Stay Connected

The subtitle says it all, the best part being that majority of the features are standard. To start off is the Mazda Connect system that makes infotainment effortless. In it are included features like hands-free phone, audio, and navigation system all of which are easily controlled via HMI control commander. For making the entertainment personalized, the device comes with Bluetooth compatibility and internet connection. Giving a silver lining to the whole package are the customized BOSE speakers that are designed and positioned keeping in mind factors like cabin size, seats positioning and material used.

5.       Enhanced Safety

Mazda has always been very sensitive regarding the drivers and occupants safety. And now taking this responsibility a step ahead is its new range of i-ACTIVSENSE safety technologies that not only prevent collisions but also lessen the impact during an unfortunate incidence. To the long list of Mazda’s CX-5 safety features are included features like- Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, Smart Brake Support, Smart City Brake Support, Distance Recognition Support System, Forward Obstruction Warning, Advanced Blind Support Monitoring System, Traffic Sign Recognition System, Lane-keep Assist System, Lane Departure Warning System, Adaptive Font-lighting System and High Beam Control System.
