The aforementioned also constitutes a full change of its local lineup of offerings, which were heralded by the entry of the Hyptec HT and the Aion V at the 2025 Philippines Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS). Its other two offerings are the Aion Y Plus and the upcoming Aion UT.

GAC Aion V
One of the models GAC International Philippines introduced at the 2025 PEVS was the GAC Aion V - a battery electric compact crossover with a five-seater capacity. At the moment, the said model retails at P1.498 million for the entry-level Elite and P1.698 million for the top-spec Premium.
Propelling the GAC Aion V is a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), which, on the Premium trim, can produce up to 221 horsepower (hp) and 240 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
According to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), the GAC Aion V Premium’s 75.26-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery can provide a range of up to 603 kilometers (km). The vehicle also has a maximum (direct current) charging capacity of 180 kilowatts (kW), resulting in a charge time of just 20 minutes from 30-80 percent.
Appearance-wise, the GAC Aion V features a square body reminiscent of a sport utility vehicle (SUV).
Its exterior is fitted with LED lighting fixtures, a roof rack, rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic sunroof, power-fold/adjustable heated side mirrors, acoustic glass windows, headlamp leveling, and a rear windshield defogger - among others.
The interior of the GAC-made electric vehicle (EV), on the other hand, comes with a five-seater layout equipped with a dual-zone automatic air-conditioning system, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, USB ports, 12-volt outlets, front seat massage functionality, and an in-car refrigerator.
The Aion V’s suite of advanced driver-assist systems consists of a smart camera, a high-precision millimeter-wave radar, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection, rear-cross traffic alert, rear collision warning, and many others.
Inside the GAC Aion V, a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system is paired with an 8.8-inch digital gauge cluster. The said central screen can accept voice commands and provide in-car WiFi. The model also has Apple CarPlay, a nine-piece sound system, and a 50-watt wireless smartphone charging pad.
GAC Hyptec HT
What is considered as the current flagship model of GAC International Philippines is the GAC Hyptec HT. In the local market, this nameplate is available in the Premium and Ultra models. The two trims are priced at P2.26 million and P2.58 million, respectively.
At maximum, the GAC Hyptec HT’s PMSM can put out 328 hp and 380 Nm of torque. Interestingly, the model is rear-wheel-drive.
From a single full charge, the GAC Hypetec HT can cover up to 605 km, according to the NEDC. It likewise has a fast-charging rate of up to 280 kW, which can take its state-of-charge from 10-70 percent in just 20 minutes
Notably, the GAC Hyptec HT Ultra variant has gull-wing doors for its rear cabin. The entry-level Premium, however, has regular rear doors.
Other noteworthy exterior equipment available on the GAC Hyptec HT Ultra includes:
- 20-inch wheels
- Power-fold/adjustable side mirrors with heating
- Panoramic skylight roof with insulation
- Soundproof glass
- Rain-sensing wipers
- Electronic tailgate
- LED exterior lighting fixtures
Inside the model is a five-seater layout with leather seats, power-adjust front seats with ventilation and massage, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a particulate matter 2.5 filter, a wireless smartphone charging pad, USB ports, and a 60:40 split-folding rear seat with reclining function.
The vehicle’s main screen is a 14.6-inch display that’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155P processor. This display comes with Apple CarPlay, supports voice commands, and is paired with a 22-piece high-fidelity speaker set with Dolby Atmos surround sound.
Safety-wise, the GAC Hyptec HT has a comprehensive ADAS suite that’s largely on-par with the GAC Aion V.

GAC Aion Y Plus
Another offering from GAC International Philippines is the Aion Y Plus. It retails at P1.498 million for the Elite, and P1.698 million for the top-spec Premium.
At maximum, the Premium variant can put out 201 hp and 225 Nm of torque. It also has a NEDC-indicated range of 490 km, and a direct current fast charger.
Appearance-wise, the GAC Aion Y is a slick-looking crossover with a hatchback-like silhouette. Its exterior has LED lighting fixtures, a set of 17-inch wheels, power-adjust/fold side mirrors with heating, rain-sensing wipers, and a power tailgate.
Inside the GAC Aion Y, the five-seater layout features automatic air-conditioning, power-adjustable front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. The model also provides wireless smartphone charging, ambient lighting, and a 60:40 split-folding rear seat. The GAC Aion Y also features a 14.6-inch central display and a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster.
For safety, the GAC Aion Y was kitted out with the following ADAS features:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Forward collision warning
- Autonomous emergency braking
- Traffic jam assist
- Lane departure warning
- Lane keep assist
Upcoming GAC Aion UT
Last but not least is the GAC Aion UT, which is yet to be introduced to the local market. By far, this is the smallest all-electric crossover the brand will offer in the Philippines.
For now, the brand has not published a full specs list for the Aion UT, but its global version can dish out 201 hp. It also has a 500-km range and a charge rate of 30-80 percent in just 24 minutes.
Based on previews of the GAC Aion UT for the Philippines, it is more modest than its larger siblings. Otherwise, it still has front-seat ventilation, a voice-control system, a 14.8-inch infotainment display, and an ADAS suite.
As of this writing, the company has yet to announce when the Aion UT will launch locally, but many are guessing it will officially enter the market at the upcoming 2026 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).
Final thoughts
Clearly, GAC International Philippines’ opening salvo for the Philippines consists of electric vehicles (EV).
Then again, earlier reports regarding the newly structured company have indicated that it will be introducing six to eight models in the near future, and some of these could be hybrids.
