Unlike most HEVs listed so far, the Nissan Kicks e-POWER uses its 1.5-liter gasoline three-cylinder engine as a charger for its 2.13 kWh battery. The said battery, in turn, provides power to its e-POWER electric motor - the vehicle’s main propulsion unit.

At its maximum, this setup delivers up to 134 hp and 280 Nm of torque. The model also uses a FWD layout, combined with a single-speed gear reduction transmission.

    BAIC

Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Company’s (BAIC) local arm currently offers the B30e Dune and B60 as its DOE-certified HEV nameplates.

For the B30e Dune, it is available with a FWD or AWD layout, both with varying specs. Both use 1.5-liter turbocharged ICE components, but the FWD version has a single front axle motor, while the AWD version has a front and rear motor setup.

Regarding outputs, the B30e Dune FWD can put out 329 hp and 550 Nm of torque, while the AWD variant can deliver 403 hp and 685 Nm of torque.

The B60 Beaumont Hybrid, on the other hand, has a 2.0-liter turbodiesel mill paired with a part-time 4x4 system. At its peak, this model can generate 161 hp and 400 Nm of torque.

    Omoda
