These are the JMC Grand Avenue's 5 distinct body colors

JMC Philippines rocked the segment when it launched the Grand Avenue pickup truck at the Manila International Auto Show 2024 earlier this year. 

Attendees of the annual motoring event had to take second looks as the Chinese-made pickup truck slightly resembled a rather popular model made by a likewise popular American brand. 

Nevertheless, the JMC Grand Avenue proves that it can be more than just a look-a-like. On that note, here is a quick look at its five distinct hues. 

Cosmic Grey 

The JMC Grand Avenue looks sleek and stylish in Cosmic Grey finish. The paintwork seems to combine gray and blue, resulting in a cool and modern-looking coat that elevates the looks of the pickup truck. 

Blue and gray are colors often associated with wisdom and technology, and the JMC Grand Avenue has plenty of appointments that best reflect these two words. 

 

While the analog and digital (3.5 inches thin-film transistor) instrument cluster of the truck is nothing to write home about, its 10-inch infotainment system offers would-be owners an impressive piece of technology that could prove to be helpful for everyday drives. 

Here are some of its features:

• Android Auto
• Bluetooth connection
• Radio 
• Four-speaker sound system 

For example, the said infotainment screen is capable of integrating one’s smartphone via Apple Carplay or Android Auto. This means that one can make use of available navigation apps as well as music streaming services. 

Both the abovementioned are helpful not only for long drives but also for short trips as finding one’s way in the metro could prove to be challenging without a navigation system. Further keeping one’s cool when stuck in traffic is easier with a familiar tune for company. 

The JMC Grand Avenue also has air conditioning with pollen and PM 2.5 filter, multi-functional controls and paddle shifters on the steering wheel, as well as keyless entry with push start button. 

It would have been better if JMC slapped the Grand Avenue with a wireless charging dock, but at least the pickup truck gets charging options in the form of USB ports at the front and 12-volt sockets, front and back. 

Shining Silver

The Shining Silver color makes the JMC Grand Avenue look, well, shiny. It complements some of the similarly shiny appointments one can easily spot on the pickup truck’s exterior. 

We’ve listed them down so you don’t have to:

• Fog lamp housings
• Side mirror trims
• 17-inch alloy wheels
• JMC badge on tailgate
• Grand Avenue nameplate on tailgate

The sheen finish of the aptly named Shining Silver also blends well with the matte-finished features of the JMC Grand Avenue. Below are the flat-colored parts of the truck: 

• Lower front bumper
• Running boards
• Side mirror trims
• Lower rear bumper 

The JMC Grand Avenue could use some blacked-out wheel arches and door claddings. However, the styling direction of the vehicle leans more towards a premium upmarket look, which also works out. 

Sandy Brown 

The Sandy Brown color gives the JMC Grand Avenue an air of dependability, which the vehicle has no shortage of. 

Supporting the JMC Grand Avenue is a double wishbone coil spring suspension system at the front, while the rear end gets a leaf spring setup. Handling deceleration and halts is a set of disc brakes, front and back. 

And when the truck needs to haul cargo, its owners will be able to load up to 870 kilograms of payload onto the vehicle. 

When faced with more challenging obstacles, those sitting behind the wheel will be happy to know that it has a 30-degree approach angle and a 26-degree departure angle. On that note, it can make easy work of the usual potholes and speed bumps in the metro as well as some steep thoroughfares one encounters in the provinces. 

Silver and Black 

The Silver and Black colorway might give the JMC Grand Avenue a luxurious appearance, but the hue better encapsulates the power and capabilities the vehicle can offer. 

Depending on the variant, the JMC Grand Avenue can come with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic — the latter being sourced from ZF Friedrichshafen, whose transmission systems are used by European car brands. 

Across the board, however, all variants get a 2.3-liter engine with more than enough “oomph” for one’s daily driving needs.

Pearl White

White, as you might have guessed it, is a color linked with safety.  

That said, we’re happy to report that the JMC Grand Avenue comes with plenty of active and passive safety features that will give owners peace of mind when they hit the road.

Variants, pricing 

As we briefly covered earlier, the JMC Grand Avenue was initially offered in four variants: 4X2 MT, 4X2 AT, 4X4 MT, and 4X4 AT. 

Not too long ago, JMC Philippines added two more trims in the form of the JMC Grand Avenue 4x4 AT Limited and 4x4 AT Sport.

The pickup truck is priced from P1.221 million to P1.8 million.
