2016 Geneva Motor Show- Aston to Launch DB9 GT Bond Edition

MANILA: Aston Martin has consistently won the title of world's favourite sports car. For more than half a century, it's been a prominent choice of the famous spy, James Bond. As Bond's new movie “Spectre” is likely to be released by next year, therefore Aston is ready to celebrate the release with the launch of it's much awaited limited Bond edition DB9 GT. The company claims that the DB9 holds the most powerful body and engine which has been built for the first time in Aston Martin's history.

Under the hood, the beast DB9 GT is equipped with a 6.0-litre V12 48 valve 5,935 cc engine which churns out an optimum power of 547 PS at 6750 rpm and peak torque of 629 Nm at 5500 rpm. The new DB9 GT Bond edition gets ultimate styling which includes unique ten-spoke 20-inch alloy wheel toned with a gloss black diamond finish. The bonnet vents are bright aluminium and the front splitter made up of carbon add an extra point to the making of the superior classy exterior.

Inside, the DB9 GT persists a uniquely numbered sill plaque similar to 007 logo and gun barrel embroidery on the centre divider of the rear seat. The center console gets a special edition Aston Martin infotainment system installed with an AMi II-sensitive touch screen.

The seats are made with premium fluted leather and steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara, makes the interior look more luxurious. The all-alloy, 5,935cc V12 engine runs on six-speed transmission with the electronic shift-by-wire control system. It accelerates from rest to 62 mph in just 4.5 seconds and attains a top speed of 183 mph.

The double wishbone suspension delivers secure handling while the 3-stage Adaptive Damping System (ADS) offers different terrain drive modes like Normal, Sport and Track. The DB9 GT offers Bond-themed accessories as well.
