2019 Honda Civic launched in the Philippines, starts at Php 1,115,000

MANILA: The Honda Civic is one sexy sedan, isn’t it? All the Filipinos have been waiting for the Civic to arrive in the country for some time now and the Japanese automaker has finally heard us. Launched in three variants, namely 1.8 S, 1.8 E, and 1.5 RS Turbo, the 2019 Honda Civic is all set to shake the sedan segment in the Philippines.

Talking about the changes in the 2019 Honda Civic, the front fascia now boasts a curvaceous bumper that incorporates a pair of stylish fog lamps. Moving to the rear, we see a lower valence on the bumper. We find 16-inch alloys, chrome door handles, and LED lighting on the 1.8 E. On the other hand, the 1.5 RS Turbo receives 18-inch wheels, gloss black trim pieces, rear spoiler, and an RS badge on the grille.

The newest addition to the Civic lineup in the Philippines in the 1.8 S variant. This new model acts as the base variant in the lineup. While Civic 1.8 S also comes with 16-inch alloys and a chrome grille, just the like the 1.8 E, the entry-level Civic misses out on some chrome trimmings and LED headlamps as it gets conventional projector units.

Hop inside the 2019 Honda Civic, and you will find a revamped infotainment system. The setup still comes with both Android Auto And Apple CarPlay. However, there are new buttons on the side of the screen and dial has also been added for controlling the volume. Special features on the RS variant include new sport pedals with extra grip pads, leather seats, contrast red stitching, and more.

Coming to the mechanicals of the 2019 Honda Civic, the 1.8-litre engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 141 PS and 174 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre turbo mill found inside the Civic RS churns out 173 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 220 Nm. Irrespective of the engine or variant, the 2019 Honda Civic comes with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The 2019 Honda Civic price for the three variants is as follows:
