Here’s what you can find inside the Honda Civic's cabin
Decent amount of cabin tech makes sedan feel like a proper car and not a gadget with wheels
The Honda Civic has been a staple in the local sedan segment as it offers Filipino car enthusiasts a sporty daily driver. Keeping up with the times, the 11th-generation model now offers a more mature look with some refined, minimalist appeal. But how does it look on the inside?

Opulent leather trims
Given that the sedan now looks like a grown-up’s car, its interior echoes that vibe with plenty of leather trims.
These can be found on the car’s steering wheel, gear shifter boot, some parts of the door cards, the center armrest, and, of course, the seats.
Honda used black leather, which does convey some sportiness while maintaining its daily driver aesthetics. In the range-topping Honda Civic RS e:HEV, the black material blends well with the blacked-out interior, especially because it tastefully uses a black headliner.

These really elevate the sedan’s cockpit and make common touch points (such as the door panels where one’s elbow usually comes into contact with, or the center console where one’s knees typically rub on) a pleasure to feel.
For the seats, the range-topping variant comes with some suede accents — adding to the plushness of the material. This makes the Honda Civic’s top-of-the-line variant a comfortable car to drive for both short daily commutes and even for long weekend escapades.

Decent tech
The Honda Civic offers would-be owners some decent automotive tech.
Past the leather-wrapped steering wheel is a 10.2-inch instrument cluster for the top-tier model. Since it is an all-digital display, it presents relevant driving data in crisp detail.
It is accompanied by a nine-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Audio from the entertainment unit is sent to a Bose 12-speaker sound system with good sound quality.

The car also gets a dual-zone automatic conditioning system.
Overall, the author loves the standard and not-so-over-the-top technologies offered by the Honda Civic. This makes the vehicle feel more like a proper automobile rather than a gadget with wheels.
Good storage capacity
Since we’re talking about a sedan here, our readers cannot expect sport utility vehicle-levels of storage capacity. Nevertheless, we were impressed by how much stuff the Honda Civic can hold.
At the front, the passengers can enjoy two cup holders on the center console with one bottle holder on each of the doors. Those taking the back seat can get two beverage holders by way of the pull-down armrest (available in the range-topping variant) and one bottle holder on each of the doors.

Likewise, the compartments of the Honda Civic give some good space for holding other stuff. These storage spaces include the glove box compartment, the deep box under the center armrest, and some pockets behind the front seating.
Finally, the sedan’s trunk can hold up to 493 liters of luggage.

Final thoughts
The Honda Civic does offer a lot for those who are nitpicky about a car’s cabin. That said, this model appears to be staying in the carmaker’s roster for a long time despite the fast growth of crossovers in the country.
