The 2021 Lexus IS shows off its sexy back

MANILA: If the cover photo is anything to go by, the all-new Lexus IS (Intelligent Sport) is set to become the model’s best example yet by combining brave design, imaginative technology, and exhilarating performance in the Japanese automaker’s latest luxury compact sedan.

Rumored to be phased out along with the GS as the market continues to shift to crossovers, this fourth-generation model is a boon to fans of the brand and the model’s superb sporty handling.

Lexus has been working on this latest model since 2015 and plenty of fans and enthusiasts have been debating about the type of engine it will use. Will it be a twin-turbo V6 or a V8? Some have even gone as far as saying it may get the Supra’s 3.0L turbocharged BMW engine.

Fortunately for all, the wait isn’t going to be for too long as the official global reveal will be on June 10, 8 a.m. JST (Japan Standard Time) or 7 a.m. Philippine Standard Time.
