2020 Lexus LC Convertible 1 of 1 goes for Php 102 million

MANILA: Two-seater convertibles are pure love, aren't they? The door-doors have been attracting automobile enthusiasts ever since their inception and the plot hasn't changed a bit even in 2020, as we see the demand for the sporty two-seater grand tourers go up only. And, to benefit from the situation, Lexus has, at last, has rolled out the 2020 LC Convertible, a production model based on a concept that the luxury vehicle division of the Japanese automaker Toyota showcased in January 2019.

So, with the road-ready model now out in the flesh, Lexus has wasted no time whatsoever in gaining attention and making big money with its first-ever LC Convertible. At the Barrett-Jackson auction, the 2020 Lexus LC Inspiration Series Launch Exclusive 1 of 1 with VIN 10001 model went for, wait for it, $2 million (around Php 102,110,000). The money, however, won't into the pocket of the automaker. Instead, the huge sum will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Bob Woodruff Foundation.

"We’re very excited to expand our flagship LC family with the launch of the all-new 2021 LC Convertible, but the most important thing about the auction is the money we raise for two amazing charities. We’re thrilled to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America in its efforts to provide services to children across the country as well as the Bob Woodruff Foundation’s goal to help our veterans and their families", said Lisa Materazzo, Lexus Marketing vice president.

Speaking of the Lexus' LC Convertible, the first of its kind LC 500 gets "VIN 10001" and sports stylish carbon fibre scuff plates which read "LC Inspiration Series Launch Exclusive 1 of 1". Moreover, the convertible comes dipped in a special Structural Blue finish, which is well complemented by the headlights, side air intake garnishes, side mirrors, and the taillights, which all flaunt the premium and attractive Liquid Platinum finish. Then there are the larger than life 21-inch Liquid Graphite-finished forged alloy wheels working in tandem with large brake rotors and blue brake callipers.

On the inside, the 2020 Lexus LC Convertible gets semi-aniline white leather upholstery, powered seats, multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel, large touchscreen infotainment system, and much more. For $2 million or shall we say Php 102,110,000, the buyer will also receive a production-line photo portfolio, one-of-one certificate signed by the vehicle's chief engineers and the general manager of the Mototmachi Plant, and a framed sketch of the LC Convertible.

Also, a Zero Halliburton luggage set with a fresh design and custom Lexus figures will be presented to the buyer. That is not all, though, as the deal also includes a Lexus Performance Driving Experience with the brand ambassador Scott Pruett. Will the 2020 Lexus LC Convertible make it to the Philippine shores? We believe so.
