2025 PH auto industry sales show nearly 4% growth

MANILA: Overall sales of the Philippine automotive industry in 2025 reflected a 3.7-percent growth, the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) shared.

According to CAMPI-TMA, the local auto industry saw 3.7 percent growth.Based on the data that the two organizations gathered, a total of 491,395 units were sold in the full 12 months of the year — showing slightly higher numbers compared to the 473,842 vehicles delivered in the country in 2024.
In a joint statement, CAMPI and TMA said that out of the industry’s sales volume for 2025, 463,646 came from their members' churn.

For December 2025, 47,371 units were handed over to their respective buyers, which is the strongest monthly performance since 2017.
“We attribute last year’s achievement to the aggressive promotional campaigns and the new product introductions from the various car brands which expanded consumer options especially in electrified and commercial vehicle segments," CAMPI President Jose Maria Atienza was quoted as saying.
Units under the electrified vehicle category accounted for 12-percent share of the market in 2025 after 58,905 units were delivered to buyers. Sales for the battery-powered, plug-in hybrid, and hybrid vehicles grew by 142.5 percent versus 2024.
Per Atienza, such results highlight the public's growing acceptance and demand for electrified technologies.

Models in this category include Toyota Tamaraw, Mitsubishi L300 FB and Isuzu Travis, among others.
Recently, the ACMobility-led BYD Cars Philippines announced that it has sold 26,122 units in 2025 — cementing its position as one of the top-performing automotive companies in the country in terms of sales.
