MANILA: More automotive brands are joining the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Incorporated (CAMPI).

BAIC
A returning Chinese brand, BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Company Limited) was one of the latest marque’s under United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI) launched early last year.
It joined the ISO-certified multi-brand firm’s stable in March 2024 — joining the likes of Lynk & Co (also a new CAMPI member), Chery and Foton, as well as the soon-to-be-launched Radar.

Lynk & Co
Another brand under UAAGI’s portfolio, Lynk & Co was introduced to the Philippine market in March 2024 — just a few days ahead of BAIC’s local relaunch.

In a separate conversation, VinFast Philippines Manuel Ignacio expressed elation for being an official CAMPI member.

CAMPI goals
Working in close coordination with the Philippine government and other stakeholders in pursuit of economic growth, CAMPI is aimed at being a driving force of growth in terms of “investments and government revenue generation, employment creation, skills development, technology transfer, environmental protection and safety promotion under a policy environment responsive to the developmental needs of the industry and society.”
