Upcoming highlights of the upcoming Nissan Festival include the presence of Hiroshi Tamura, the “father of the GR-R,” test drive opportunities, Nissan car club meets, car displays, parade and hot lamps - among others.The said event will be held at the Clark International Speedway (CIS) on February 1, 2026. Event goers can expect to be immersed in Nissan’s own brand of car culture, see interesting cars from and to present, and see Hiroshi Tamura - the “Father of the GT-R - in person.
Tamura’s presence at the upcoming event is touted by the Japanese marque’s local arm, as he will lead a hot lap around CIS and participate in a question-and-answer session about his involvement in the development of the Nissan GT-R R35, from its earliest concept phases through its continued improvements during its production run.
Additionally, a host of Nissan car clubs will be present at the event - highlighting their well-maintained rides as displays or on parade laps through the Pampanga-based race track.

Nissan has had a busy start this year. At the recently concluded 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon, the Yokohama-headquartered brand showcased the Aura Nismo RS Concept - a high-performance hot hatch that showcases the company’s engagement in high-performance automotive products.

In the global scene, Nissan recently announced that start of production for the next-generation Navara and the Rogue plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV), which are both produced with the help of Mitsubishi. The Navara is intended for sale in Oceania. The Rouge PHEV, on the other hand, will be rolled out for the North American market.
In the local market, Nissan Philippines brought in industry veteran Lyka Mae dela Cruz-Andres as its Senior Manager for Communications. Dela Cruz-Andres officially took up her new role on January 5, 2026, and she has more than 13 years of experience. She previously held leadership roles at Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated and BMW Philippines.
