Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated (HCPI) teased the upcoming addition to its new energy vehicle lineup, the new Civic RS e:HEV.

The vehicle shall be officially launched at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show on October 24.The vehicle preview was led by Honda Motor Company Vice President and Head of Regional Operations for Asia and Oceania as well as Asian Honda Motor Company President and Chief Executive Officer Toshio Kuwahara.

“Driven by a clear vision, we seek to achieve carbon neutrality across our entire product lineup and corporate activities by 2050. We are also striving for zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles globally by 2050,” he added.

Not much has been shared at the recent display but here are some of the forthcoming sedan's notable features.

In markets abroad, the vehicle is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, 16-valve, double overhead cam engine combined with two electric motors, with an electrical continuously variable transmission (E-CVT) and a high-efficiency lithium-ion battery.

Additionally, the new Civic RS e:HEV boasts the latest generation of Honda CONNECT equipped with more features — including the Google Automotive Services (which allows owners to add more applications),and an updated Honda SENSING suite of technologies.
