A Brief about PH spec of 2016 Volvo XC90

MANILA: Volvo, a Swedish automotive brand is all set to launch its all-new XC90 in the Philippines. XC90 which globally got revealed back in 2014 is a successful luxury SUV with 5-doors and seat for 7 passengers.

Looking into local specs of XC90, the SUV will come with signature new iron mark logo wherein the arrow is diagonally aligned across the grille. The fog lights, LED headlights, T-shaped LED daytime running lights dubbed as 'Thor's Hammer', aluminum roof rails, large rear quarter windows, dual exhaust pipes, and painted wheel arches will also be seen as beautification features. The final grace giving item is the 19-inch alloy wheel.

Dimension-wise, the XC90 2016 measure as 4950 mm long, 2140 mm wide, 1776 mm tall and wheelbase of 2984 mm. Now that's like a cavernous SUV with Swedish style beauty inside. The leather upholstery, adjustable steering wheel with controls, knob-type engine start switch, 8-inch digital display, 4-way power front seats with lumbar support and driver seat memory are all standard here. The striking is the Sensus infotainment system which combines navigation and audio controls in an easy-to-use tablet-like interface.

Coming to the power plant, the Philippine market will receive Volvo XC-90 2016 with two engines, one is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder gasoline mill delivering 324 PS and 400 Nm of torque while the second is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel plant which produces 228 PS and 470 Nm of torque. Both these engines are paired up with an eight-speed Geartronic automatic transmission.

According to Volvo PH, the 2016 XC 90 will have a starting price in between PhP 5 to 6 million which indeed is a huge amount but we are sure the kind of comfort, facilities and drive the XC90 will overture, the Filipinos will go crazy. After-all it would fit well in the frame of their SUV love! Moreover, a top-spec T6 with a panoramic sunroof, heads-up display, Bowers & Wilkins audio and other premium features will also be available.
