All US-spec Subaru models now have 2022 Top Safety Pick awards

MANILA: All Subaru models currently available in the US now have 2022 Top Safety Pick awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) after the 2023 Outback, the 2023 Legacy, and the 2022 WRX were named Top Safety Pick+.

Other Top Safety Pick+ awardees for 2022 are the 2022 Subaru Ascent (Evoltis), 2022 Subaru BRZ, 2022 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid, and 2022 Subaru Forester.

The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek and the 2022 Subaru Impreza five-door were hailed as 2022 Top Safety Pick Winners.

In order to qualify for a Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ award, vehicles must receive “Good” ratings in each of IIHS' six crashworthiness evaluations, “Good” or “Acceptable” ratings for headlights, and “Advanced” or “Superior” ratings for available front crash prevention in both vehicle-to-vehicle and daytime vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations. Only models that have “Good” or “Acceptable” headlights are granted the “Plus.”

Since 2013, Subaru has earned a total of 66 Top Safety Pick+ awards, more than any other car brand.
