BMW i8 to be Launched in the Philippines at the 2016 PIMS

MANILA: PIMS 2016 is about to open its gates and different automakers have started revealing their prospective launches and showcases in the show. Honda has already revealed that the company will be launching BR-V in the 6th Philippine International Motor Show and now one of the German automakers has revealed its next launch in the country. Few days back this German automaker started its BMW Premium Selection Sale, which gave the option of picking up a verified used BMW and now the company has a big news for the BMW enthusiasts. Yes, BMW i8 will be launching at the 2016 PIMS.

BMW i8 made its first debut in 2013 under the sub-brand, i and is the second model after the i3. BMW i8 has already gained huge positive response from the auto enthusiasts across different markets and now with i8 coming to the Philippines, the company expect the same kind of response. Along with the latest technology and Efficient Dynamics it has stand out features, which makes it one of its kind car. Under the hood, it is equipped with TwinPower Turbo 1.5-litre 3-cylinder engine which is further coupled with an electric motor. The combined power output of BMW i8 measures 362 PS while peak torque counts to 569 Nm.

BMW i8 is offered with a 6-speed automatic gearbox with a four wheel drive system. Despite being categorized in the hybrid category, the BMW i8 seems to be one of the fastest cars on the planet, as it can clock 100 kmph mark in mere 4.4 seconds and provides exceptional fuel economy of 40 kmpl.
