BYD PH to unveil Atto 3 in PEVS 2023

ZHUHAI: BYD Philippines — now under AC Motors’ distributorship — will launch Atto 3 next month.

In a chance interview, Mobility Access Philippines Ventures Incorporated President Antonio Zara III confirmed to Zigwheels Philippines that the electrified sport utility vehicle (SUV) will be revealed the at the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit.

In terms of dimensions, the BYD Atto 3 is similarly-sized as the Toyota Corolla Cross which is competing in the subcompact cross category.

Powering the purely-electric front-wheel-drive vehicle abroad is an electric motor that can deliver up to 214 horsepower — allowing the vehicle to reach 100 kilometers per hour (kph) from standstill in 7.3 seconds. It also has a top speed of 160 kph.

Further, the crossover will likely come with 88-kilowatt (kw) fast charging capabilities that juice up the BYD Atto 3 from 30-80 percent in less than 30 minutes. We are hoping though it will also be packaged with 11-kw wallbox charger that can be enjoyed by its would be buyers.

Moreover, the incoming BYD Atto 3 will likely have the same 15.6-inch floating infotainment system that seen in the European market that is Apple Carplay and Android Auto ready.

The-soon-to-be revealed BYD Atto 3 will probably be outfitted with technologies that helped it achieve a five-rating from the European New Car Assessment Program. Among the possible features might be the blind spot detection, lane keep assist, intelligent cruise control, as well as the rear-cross traffic alert with brake assist.
