Chevrolet PH launches Groove

MANILA: Chevrolet Philippines has launched the Groove, bolstering its lineup in the country. 

Per the local wing of the Golden Bowtie brand, its newest subcompact sport utility vehicle (SUV) offers would-be owners a versatile ride designed for today’s urban explorers. 

“This launch represents Chevrolet’s ongoing evolution — giving Filipino motorists across generations a vehicle that celebrates inclusiveness, innovation, and personalization. It’s built for real lives — those who move through vibrant communities and dynamic urban spaces with purpose and style,” Hariphil Asia Resources, Incorporated (HARI) Vice Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer Maria Fe Perez-Agudo said. 

Here are a few notable features of the Chevrolet Groove. 

Exterior 

Outside, the Chevrolet Groove is both stylish and sporty. Its fascia is adorned by LED projector headlamps with daytime running lights and a pair of halogen fog lamps at the fore. 

To its sides are power -adjust, auto-folding side mirrors with integrated sequential turn signals. Noticeable too from this angle are its 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels with 215/55 series tires. 

At the back, the Chevrolet Groove wows with a stylish spoiler with a built-in high-mount stop lamp as well as quad tailpipes. Its rear illumination system consists of LED taillamps and LED fog lamps. 

Interior 

Drivers and passengers alike will be welcomed by a sporty cabin. The steering wheel and bucket-style seats are covered in leather material. The same finish is also found on the center armrest and gear shifter boot. 

Tech-wise, it gets a seven-inch thin-film transistor instrument panel and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. 

Powertrain 

Under the hood of the Chevrolet Groove is a 1.5-liter turbocharged, four-pot engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. 

The said setup generates the below figures: 

Maximum power output (in horsepower)	148
Maximum torque (in Newton-meters)	255

Stopping power comes from ventilated disc brakes at the front and solid disc brakes at the rear. Its suspension system is made up of McPhresons at the fore and a semi-independent torsion beam with coil spring arrangement at the back.

Variant, pricing 

The Chevrolet Groove is offered in a sole RS variant with an introductory price of P1.156 million.
