Craig Sager-inspired Bentley Continental GT to be auctioned for blood cancer research

MANILA: Bentley Americas has collaborated with The SagerStrong Foundation to launch a passion project that will concretize the passion and vitality of the organization’s founder and renowned Hall of Fame sportscaster, the late Craig Sager. Bentley Mulliner has developed a one-off vehicle inspired by Sager’s famous on-screen wardrobe. The vehicle will be auctioned off to benefit The SagerStrong Foundation’s blood cancer research.

The one-off vehicle was based on a Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible, with a design that mimics the flower pattern of Sager’s outfit at the 2016 ESPYs when he accepted the Jimmy V. Foundation’s “Perseverance Award.”

“Our interpretation of ‘clothing’ the Continental GT Speed Convertible in something Craig would have worn honors him and his vibrant, enduringly positive, and uplifting spirit. It’s our aspiration that further enhancing this car with the signatures of Craig’s family, both on and off the court, will create an iconic piece of rolling memorabilia: a lighthouse of hope for those that knew and loved Craig,” Bentley Motors, Inc. Retail Marketing Manager Scott Reynolds stated.

The one-off Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible was designed and manufactured at Bentley’s carbon-neutral factory. It comes standard with improved chassis technology, all-wheel steering, and electronic rear differential. The option of carbon ceramic brakes is also available.

The new Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible is powered by a 6.0-liter W12 TSI engine that produces 650bhp. It can accelerate from zero to 60mph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 208mph.

If he were here today, he would be driving the family around, top down, smiling ear to ear in this perfect representation of his beautiful and powerful spirit,” The SagerStrong Foundation Co-founder and Craig’s wife, Stacy Sager, declared.
