Ford F-150 Raptor to land in PH soon?

MANILA: Ford Motor Company Philippines is poised to release the F-150 Raptor in the country soon.

Data from the Land Transportation Office reveal that all of the agency’s new Registration Units, and authorized District and Extension Offices “shall register the subject unit as a Utility Vehicle and be assessed with the applicable MVUC (Motor Vehicle User's Charge) for such vehicle type.”

Based on the said file, the Ford F-150 Raptor for the Philippine market will be sold with a pickup truck body type with seating for five. It has an overall length of 5,892 millimeters (mm), an overall width of 2,430 mm, and an overall height of 1,958 mm. Its wheelbase measures 3,693 mm and clears the ground by 248 mm.

On that note, the pickup truck — which rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped with LT315/70-series tires — is bigger than the Ford Explorer sport utility vehicle.

Under its hood is a 3.5-liter V-6 EcoBoost engine that runs on gasoline. The said powerplant is said to give the Ford F-150 Raptor a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

Ford Philippines is yet to make an announcement about the upcoming release of the F-150 Raptor in the country soon.
