Ford PH inaugurates parts distribution facility in Laguna

MANILA: Ford Philippines inaugurated its newest parts distribution facility in Calamba, Laguna.

Per the local arm of the Blue Oval brand, the parts distribution center — which spans an area of some 18,500 square meters — has ample room to store vehicle parts, which will increase the company’s capability to deliver more automotive components to dealerships across the country.

In addition, it also boasts eight inbound and outbound docks for receiving and dispatching vehicle parts.

The new parts distribution depot aims to shorten the lead times for Ford vehicle owners when sourcing parts needed for their rides.

“The facility… is equivalent to almost six Araneta Coliseums. And it’s more than twice the size of our previous facility, so it really sets us up to do the volume that we’re planning to do,” Ford Philippines President and Managing Director Mike Breen said.

“With our commitment to delivering the next-generation Ford ownership experience, having this bigger, more efficient parts distribution center is an important step to giving customers more confidence and peace of mind in owning a Ford,” he added.

According to Ford Philippines, the new parts outlet will allow the company to meet same-day delivery of parts for dealerships in Metro Manila and nearby areas, as well as daily deliveries to its dealerships in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Ford Philippines’ new parts distribution center is operated in partnership with DB Schenker. The two companies will run the said parts distribution facility through a five-year partnership.
