Ford Ranger FX4 Special Edition introduced

MANILA: In order to push the styling quotient of the pick-up segment, Ford Philippines has done significant tweaks in the Ranger and introduced a more sturdy FX4 Special Edition. The special edition Ranger carries a dark theme on its exterior and interior trim and is powered by a Duratorq powertrain. Ford has experienced a significant improvement in its sales percentage, all thanks to its improved model line-up. And with this special edition Ranger FX4, Ford might attract some more customers interested in buying a muscular and capable pick-up.

Some of the key elements which gain the onlooker attention include the black grille with mesh pattern and the blacked-out fog light bezels. The 18-inch alloy wheels are painted in black while the bed gets new sports bars finished in black, all-together further highlights the muscular capabilities of the pick-up. The special edition will be available in Aluminium Metallic, Cool White, Jet Black and Meteor Gray color options. In the cabin, you will find a more refined interior which is very rare in a pick-up segment. The revisions also include FX4 logos embodied on the leather seats. The other interior features are similar to the regular Ford Ranger.

Under the hood, all the variants of Ford Ranger FX4 feature a 2.2-litre Duratorq turbo-diesel engine which delivers a maximum power output of 160 PS and peak torque of 385 Nm. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox with 4X2 driving mode only.
