GAC PH to display electrified roster at Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival 2026

MANILA: GAC Philippines will showcase its local electrified vehicle roster at the upcoming  Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival 2026.

During the four-day event, enthusiasts will be given the opportunity to see the brand’s offerings in the metal and experience them firsthand.

In a statement, the Guangdong-headquartered automaker’s arm in the country shared that its lineup at the four-day motoring event includes:

• Aion V
• Hyptec HT
• GS8 HEV
• Emkoo HEV

“This 2026, we are thrilled to provide another hands-on experience for Filipinos to enjoy the new energy lineup of GAC,” GAC International Senior Vice President Steven Wang was quoted as saying.

 “We invite everyone to experience the cutting-edge difference firsthand, embodying our commitment to electrified performance and sustainable luxury.”

Here are some bits of facts about GAC’s electrified models in the Philippines.

A versatile midsize battery electric vehicle, the GAC Aion V features a Magazine Battery 2.0. With it, the vehicle can deliver a smoke-free range of 600 kilometers. This can be juiced up in as fast as 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Hyptec HT is GAC Philippines’ flagship five-seater luxury electric SUV. Its distinct character comes from the dual-stage electric gullwing doors. Inside, the tech-forward cabin is covered with Nappa leather upholstery. Further, its energy bank can be charged to 70 percent in just 15 minutes.

The GAC GS8 HEV is fitted with a 2.0T Mega Wave Powertrain  paired with the fourth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS II). This setup can dish out churns of up to:
