MIAS 2026: GAC PH launches GS8 HEV, GN8 PHEV
GAC showcases its most advanced mobility solutions
MANILA: GAC International Philippines launched the GS8 hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and the GN8 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) at the ongoing Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2026.

GS8 HEV
Photo by Paulo PapaCompeting in the full-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) segment, the GS8 HEV’s design strikes a balance between ruggedness and elegance, magnificently reflecting GAC’s “Star Diamond” philosophy.
Upfront, it sports the “Victory” chrome grille flanked by the “Eye of the Conqueror” sequential LED headlamps. It is also fitted with 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels.
Powering the GS8 HEV is the GAC 2.0T Mega Wave Powertrain paired with a fourth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS II), which can dish out:

Upfront, the seven-seater luxury multi-purpose vehicle sports the “lion’s mane grille,”
Under the hood, the GN8 has a 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid powertrain, which produces power of over 240 hp and an impressive 1,038-kilometer combined range.
This powertrain provides a pure electric range of 106 kilometers (km) and supports fast charging of up to 80 percent in approximately 45 minutes.

Exclusive Preview of the E8 HEV

According to the brand, this upcoming offering is “engineered for family-focused versatility and long-range efficiency.”
Inside, it comes with a 14.6-inch multifunctional touchscreen, ventilated second-row seats with a massage function, and an impressive 1,917-liter maximum trunk capacity.
As the name suggests, the GAC E8 HEV comes with a hybrid system that boasts a 1,200-km combined driving range. It is also equipped with advanced safety features such as adaptive cruise control and integrated cruise assist.

Aside from the three, the GAC booth is also showcasing its “New Energy” lineup made up of:
- 2026 Emzoom
- Hyptec HT
- Aion V
The GS8 HEV and GN8 PHEV are priced at P2.488 million, respectively. However, both are given P100,000-discount for their introductory prices, which will be up until May 31, 2026.
For the whole duration of the MIAS 2026, additional cash discounts of up to P20,000 are also available for MIAS attendees on select models through its official bank partner, Bank of Philippine Islands.
