Geely Auto experiences P1.2-T revenue in H1 2025

MANILA: Geely Automobile Holdings Limited reached a total revenue of RMB150 billion revenue (approximately P1.202 trillion) for the first half of 2025.

Per the the majority shareholder Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr, the aforementioned revenue gained within the first six months of the year reflected a 27-percent year-on-year increase.

After profits are distributed to shareholders, operational costs, as well as losses, the company saw a total gross profit of RMB24.7 billion (P197 billion at prevailing exchange rates). 

In line with this, Geely Automobile Holdings sold 1.409 million units globally — cornering 10 percent market share in its home country. Out of the said figure, 725,000 units consist of new energy vehicles (NEV). 

In January-June 2025, Zeekr managed to sell 90,740 units worldwide, while Lynk & Co saw its sales reach 154,137 units globally as well. Zeekr further added that its performance was greatly aided by its 009 luxury multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). 

Due to its positive performance for the first half of 2025, Geely Automobile Holdings has increased its annual retail target from 2.71 million to three million units.

Geely’s current global strategy

Geely Automobile Holdings noted that its current strategy takes a tech-forward stance. The aforementioned is paired with initiatives to attain overall carbon neutrality by 2045 through sustainable manufacturing practices and proliferation of more NEV models. 

Under “One Geely,” the company will also bank on the integration of brands, resources, and collaboration efforts. An example of this is its merger of Zeekr and Lynk & Co, which is seen to reduce costs for research and development, manufacturing, marketing, and technology development. 

Particularly for the Geely Auto brand, it is banking on the all-electric EX5 in “becoming a star product around the world.” 

Here in the Philippines, the said model was launched on June 30, 2025. Currently, it retails at P1.79 million.

In other regions, the said nameplate has already gained a five-star safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program. In the third quarter of the year, the electric vehicle (EV) nameplate in select markets around the world will also receive a lot of tech-oriented updates.
