Goodyear rolls out new Assurance tire for midsize SUVs

MANILA: Goodyear Philippines officially launched yesterday the newest member of Goodyear’s Assurance Family, the Assurance MaxGuard SUV.

The Assurance MaxGuard SUV, designed specifically for Asia-Pacific markets, delivers two-in-one protection through improved grip and durability, making it the ideal companion for drivers and their families as they venture out and experience their world of possibilities.

With its unique design, increased number of multi-biting edges, Goodyear’s ActiveGrip Technology, and the ActiveGrip cap compound with blended silica, the new Assurance MaxGuard SUV provides a tight grip for better handling and shorter braking distance on wet roads. The DuraGuard Technology also creates a sturdy tire carcass that can endure cuts and punctures while also improving performance durability with a two-ply construction and strong steel belt package specifically designed for SUVs.

Owing to an enhanced tread pattern with an angled block design, noise reduction rib, and smaller grooves, the Assurance MaxGuard SUV enables a quieter and more comfortable driving experience. It helps maximize mileage performance with an improved tire footprint and better tread depth distribution and cavity shape.

In particular, demand for the mid-size SUV segment is growing 10% every year. The Assurance MaxGuard SUV is available in 18 sizes with rim diameters ranging from 15 to 18 inches. Its target fitting is midsize SUV models such as Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota RAV4, and Mitsubishi Montero Sport.
